1) Netbeans Cache directory
~/.netbeans/7.0/var/cache
delete the directory contents to clear cache.
7.0 is netbeans version number.
2) ~/.netbeans/7.0/config/Preferences/org/netbeans/modules/utilities/RecentFilesHistory.properties
stores the recent files history . surprice?
3) Netbeans->Plugins->Installed
Deactivate unwanted Modules . Check for dependencies before deactivating.
